    Michelin A/S3+ or Conti DWS06

No experience with the A/S3, but I've loved the DWS06 on all of the cars I've had them on. I recomend them to everyone that wants a sporty tire that needs to handle rain with the possibilty of snow. Even on my 15' Mustang, which should never see snow I like the cold weather traction compared to...

Motor Trend rips 2020 Ford Explorer

I'm not a big fan of the new Explorer, but not much in that segment is really exciting. The thing that gets me with most of these SUVs now is that... what people really need/want are minivans with AWD for snow/poor weather. Most SUVs have already started morphing into minivans slowly. See...

400hp VW Arteon confirmed for 2021

I like alot about this idea. The big thing for me would be the DSG transmission. Its pretty great in the GTI. I test drove a Fusion Sport with the twin turbo 6 and really liked it, but the transmission let that car down.

    Ford Edge owners chime in

My parents have a 2011, so its fairly outdated as far as tech (sync 2) and its before the refreshed design. But overall its held up well. They have the 3.5 V6. It actually returns decent fuel economy considering the AWD and hasn't had any mechanical issues up to its 60k miles. I might suggest...

    Tesla Disrupts German Economy

I have no idea if what that title claims is true but... I was just in Germany for 2 weeks and there are far more Teslas there than I would have imagined. They also seem to really be embracing electric vehicles with charging stations all over. Motorway rest stops had many charging stations...

    Mice and rat deterrent

I had some bags of scented stuff I left under the hood of cars I don't drive often, that seemed to help. I recently came home from a 2 week trip to find that mice must have built a nest in the blower fan of my Jeep. Haven't taken it apart yet to vacume it out but it was fun not having heat for...

Looking for a car for $4k or less

The PI setup definitely increased performance on the 4.6. The good news is you could always upgrade a non-PI 4.6 to PI, but the cost and effort may not be worth it depending on initial price of the car. I had a 96 thunderbird for a short time, and later a 2003 Mustang GT with the PI setup. Night...

Finding a good "cold weather" vehicle?

When I had a 2015 Focus with the 1.6, it heated up super fast. I'm guessing tiny engine + aluminum block helped. I agree with some others, it could just be time for a coolant flush and a check on the thermostat. Not sure what the factory temp thermo is, but maybe bumping it up 10 degrees...

    No mufflers

Some people are harsh in here. Some cars are fine without mufflers. In fact some factory cars didn't even have them. It really depends on the car, and if you still have the cats or other resonator installed. If its a turbo car the turbo is already muffling the sound somewhat. I had a muffler...

    Supercharged 17 Mustang GT

I don't really have a recomendation as much as I wanted to say post some pics and a review when its installed! I've been thinking of some options for bumping up the power on my '15. The factory power is fun for awhile then starts to feel tame. Do you have the perf pack? I'd be worried the 3.73...

    Stick or Automatic

Thats a tough call. Auto is nice in traffic, but as others have said a wranlger would be pretty fun with a stick. I think the torque of the 4.0 would make the stick a bit more livable in traffic too.
