I like alot about this idea. The big thing for me would be the DSG transmission. Its pretty great in the GTI. I test drove a Fusion Sport with the twin turbo 6 and really liked it, but the transmission let that car down.

Thats a tough call. Auto is nice in traffic, but as others have said a wranlger would be pretty fun with a stick. I think the torque of the 4.0 would make the stick a bit more livable in traffic too.
