I was in need of a new scissor jack because the one that came with the car was bent. I figured I could go to a j/y and grab one out of a wreck for a few bucks. They wanted $20! Uh, no thanks. Advance Auto, on sale, brand new, $15. Can't imagine what they'd charge for an actual part.

As mentioned in another thread, I got mine in a few weeks, but perhaps that was well before everyone and his uncle on various message boards jumped on the rebate wagon and completely overwhelmed the folks at Valvoline.
