Unfortunately the Delvac is not so simple to get at the moment, and as per Boki's post, he indicated it is no longer being sold by the local online store which had it.

That was the point of this thread, to understand suitability of the C3 in reality vs just an optional oil as per the manual. I ended up doing the post run in swap with the Fuchs Titan cargo 10w40 which is the CK4, and so far so good post change. Will see how it goes for now, but seems Isuzu...

Good to know mate - and agreed, awesome knowledge on here. Am keen to try the Mobil with all the positive feedback on their stuff in general in current gen oils, so see how it goes now but will likely grab the 4 pack from Oila too. So far the Fuchs is going well, no real change to the original...

Good to know, thank you mate. Unfortunately oil is NOT that cheap down here in Aus haha, the Mobil 1 ESP is around $107Aud for 5ltr.... Castrol LL the same. The Fuchs cost me $102/5ltr earlier, so is actually cheaper. And with a 7lt change it sucks having to buy 10ltr, as they sting around...

That's i guess why i was leaning towards the C3 side of things, as it is obviously there in the list, and most appear to be lower ash content anyway than any of the HDEO's they list, more over with a lot of shorter trips or suburban driving, i feel like a 10w or 15w is a bit on the high side...

It's a very popular segment down here, i believe the highest selling cars in Aus; Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, VW Amarok etc. The US trucks are gaining in popularity nowadays, but the prices here are outrageous, and so is diesel, and we don't really have infrastructure...

Thanks all! Appreciate the input. I probably should have added some detail regarding expected driving use; it is purely a commuter, i don't do any offroad/hard towing etc. so my thinking towards other oil options was based more on that than needing a HD oil unless the engine specifically wants...
