Yeap, I've watched enough South Main Auto to have learned this. You have to think about these systems before going down the wrong path entirely and like many have said, step # 1 is check the battery connections.

That's way too many "codes" to even be helpful at armchair, internet diagnostics. If it's still at the shop, pay the bill and go somewhere else. I do hope the plan isn't to take "diagnoses" from here and tell the shop what to do ! 😳

Was this a roofing company or was it a guy that works for a roofing company and did this on the side ? For $200, it sounds like it's a guy that did this after work on his own. I'd be shocked if a company did anything for only $200.

Aren't those machines like that owned by someone else and they just pay stores rent for the space ? If the key doesn't work, how do you resolve it ? At least when an employee makes them and they start seeing failures, they know (you hope) to get the machine re-calibrated or have new cutters...

Nope, hence why the business doesn't already exist. If there's enough demand and a market for something, someone will do it. This isn't a revolutionary idea 😂

Walmart (the one local to me) doesn't have any on the shelves but can have it shipped. O'Reilly near me has a couple choices in stock at the store by me. I'd bet places like Tractor Supply, Rural King, etc (farm-centric) will have it too.

What does the manual say about oil ? I'd guess any API oil, synthetic, 5W-50 is just fine. Like shortyb said, "generic" bottles sold to countless packagers. Since the oil supplier is buying empty bottles, that suggests they're fairly low volume. Many oil suppliers make their own bottles on-site.

I still laugh about this one.... I recently bought a Mazda 6 from a Honda dealer. Across the street is a Mazda dealer, but for the used-car-prep they did, the parts they bought were from O'Reilly. Not gonna give a penny to the competition ! 😂
