That's an interesting question. They don't oversell me on tons of stuff I don't need, but notify me when I truly do need something. The work they've done has never had issues (until this time). Easy to work with and transparent. They have never seemed dishonest.
You're right. I have a reminder on my phone to check the oil on all three cars once a month, so I was just going off that. I will start checking after every oil change too.
I agree. I called the mechanic shop, which is quite reputable and treated me well for over two years now, and let them know. They agreed it's concerning (and apologized) and will be investigating with the technician who performed the work.
There was oil on the dipstick but it was indeed below the L.
I probably provided around 4.5 quarts. Engine takes 6.13 quarts per the manual >.<
What's interesting is the oil level alert didn't trigger for two days.
