I’ve always provided two 4 quart jugs. One of the jugs is typically used and partially full. This time the used jug had too little obviously.

That's an interesting question. They don't oversell me on tons of stuff I don't need, but notify me when I truly do need something. The work they've done has never had issues (until this time). Easy to work with and transparent. They have never seemed dishonest.

You're right. I have a reminder on my phone to check the oil on all three cars once a month, so I was just going off that. I will start checking after every oil change too.

I agree. I called the mechanic shop, which is quite reputable and treated me well for over two years now, and let them know. They agreed it's concerning (and apologized) and will be investigating with the technician who performed the work.

No leaking at all. If it were, I'd notice it on my garage floor.

There was oil on the dipstick but it was indeed below the L. I probably provided around 4.5 quarts. Engine takes 6.13 quarts per the manual >.< What's interesting is the oil level alert didn't trigger for two days.

I only put Amsoil SS 0w30 in this car and follow the Severe OCI, which is 5K miles or 6 months. I recently had the oil changed (last Thursday) at the mechanic, provided my own oil, and they did the change as always. Saturday night, I was driving to dinner with my wife and the Low Oil Level...
