The pre facelift has an 5 speed ant thats where the type IV is for. The 6 speed needs the world standard.

Ok but how bad can this be for my transmission?

Did they use the wrong oil? "Type 4" instead of "world standard".

I just found out that I am driving the last 18k miles with type 4 in stead of world standard oil. My transmission needs world standard but the dealer flushed it with type 4. They also included transmissionflush and they added a conditioner. I made some pics of the flush brand. Ill try to upload...

Toyota/Lexus 3UZ-FE V8 new oil turned black Immediately after starting engine once.

Hello my friends, I have an oil question. My 2004 Lexus/Toyota 3UZ-FE V8 VVT-I engine has driven 130.000km/81.000 miles. It is dealer maintained and it had its oil changed every 20.000km / 12.500 miles. The car has driven mostly long distances. Yesterday I did an oil change with "Mobil...

Every time I tried, the stud went in with an angle and then it stopped going in.... it seems impossible so I just ordred that little black tool from Lisle and I will use my air tool to pull them in.... Make my own silent tyres

I have those tyres in a Dunlop form so they are way better then Conti... I need a smaller size... 225 and there are no silent tyres in that size... no silent tyres for me at this moment :(

Good advice. My Lexus is allready more silent then the Rolls Royce from that time orignally but I have totally smashed it with Silent Coat. All the wheel wells, doors, trunk. Its full but on the highway on older roads like in Germany you can really hear the road and I want to do everything I can...

Well there are limits ofcourse. The picture above doesnt have any tyre rubbing. He had in the beginning but he rolled the fenders a little bit.

Wider wheel is chance on rubbing the fender. I try to avoid that. I need the maximum width of wheel to get a dish as deep as possible. The deeper the dish the better is looks. The stretched tyres also look beautiful in my opinion. Once I have had an oldtimer with 195 on a 9j rim in 14 inch...

Is that also the reason why my beloved Michelin Alpin 5 tyres are so silent?? I love these tryes so much. I have them on another Lexus in 225-55-16 but next set ill be taking 225-65-16 for even more comfort. Hahahah I understand your reaction when I see your profile picture!

I never knew this! I thought. No ribs, no sound but it seems to be the opposite. Do you mean with uniform, a straigh line or stripe? Because both of the Michelins above have a line but the Primacy is a bit curved and the Supersport is more straight.

In my eyes the supersports seems to have less ribs? I thought. Less ribs is less sound?

Allright. Good info. But how is it possible that this Michelin is quoted as one of the most silent tyres and it still has lots of cross tread? And before I have had this Pilot super "sport" and this was a TERRIBLE tyre.... I heard the sound of a binging basketball ALL the time!!! Even on a...

Owww I understand! Thats exactly what I am looking for in a tyre. How do you recognise a tread? can you show me an example where to look at?
