+1, The cheap stuff, (non-synth. green brake lube packets) can turn to dust and seize the pins in under 10k miles. My 2000 Firebird did this consistently until I got CRC black synth. brake lube. I never had another problem.

The new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tire tested by CR and TR beat the other max. performance tires by a huge margin. I've never seen a tire that far ahead of the competition. The price is the highest as well. Just bought my first set of Michelins...Alpine PA3. Nice tire so far.

Last week I did a 5 qt. cooler line pump out, pan drop and filter change on a LS1/4l60e with great results. After a week of letting the pcm adjust to the new fluid, the car shifts better than it has in years. Even better than new Dex III changes were. Shifts are firm when pushed as they should...

I believe the easier steering is not from wider tires, the opposite is true, but from the added tread depth. Tall tread blocks bend/turn easier than short flat ones.

I'll take the Insight any day over a Prisius. Jeeze, the way hybrids drive I would think it should be illegal to call them cars. Appliance is the correct term. For ecconomy and fun maybe a Jetta TDI is the way to go. I will never buy a new car that has bad dynamics.
