Running Mobil 1 xW-40 in a 2007 Accord (0w-20 spec) down here in Tucson, FWIW. Without an accurate oil temperature gauge, choosing an oil weight is all a bit hocus-pocus. But picking a thicker spec is not going to hurt anything at all.
