I definitely have certain things that I'll be very particular about and possibly over-research. But in general I don't. A colleague who I respect tremendously once told me "What you're really good at is making decisions about things that don't matter" which sounds funny but was really a high...
My last two replacement wedding rings have been titanium, they're about $20. To think my 25 year old self spent ~$700 on a platinum ring :ROFLMAO:

Concur. The Terminator is probably my favorite movie and has a realism/grittiness that T2 lacked. And T2 is really excellent don't get me wrong. But it's quite clearly more of a big budget blockbuster with the more involved special effects, big set pieces, and shoehorned in humor. The first...
This is funny, as I was reading through the thread I grabbed Pablo's post to point him to Metallica's great version of this BOC classic, but you beat me to it!
I am mostly a Metallica/Maiden/Alice in Chains guy but I think my single favorite song might be I Was Wrong by Social Distortion:
I lived in a townhouse for about 22 years. First one for 7 years and the second much larger one on the same street a stones throw away for 15. We still own the second one and I'm on the HOA board despite not living there anymore.
As others have noted the details regarding the HOA rules &...
Learned about something I didn't know existed today. Interesting!
I usually wear a head lamp and supplement with one or both of these:

12v mini flashlight - https://makitatools.com/products/details/ML103 - I love this goofy...
Very glad to see the mission has completed successfully. My very tiny tertiary contribution was in the last portion of the mission, looking forward to the out brief from the team.

They're gonna get their tax money from somewhere. They're paying the same higher costs for everything that we are and all those roads, schools, playgrounds, police, fire trucks etc ain't getting any cheaper. Property valuation does seem like a black art, ours never seems to be very close to...
What evidence is there that either 1) Iran was anywhere close to developing nuclear weapons or 2) they were close to developing ICBMs? There was an agreement previously to monitor the first, and it seems their best efforts on the 2nd are some inaccurate missiles that can barely reach Diego...
I repeat - the Commander in Chief stated "They have no anti-aircraft equipment" and they subsequently shot down a couple of our planes and several others along with some helicopters were lost during the rescue missions. Hyperbole, or lying to the American public, you can decide for yourself...
Indeed the tactical proficiency of our service members (and the civilians and contractors supporting them) is exceptional. Its the strategic side of things that I'm worried about.

Will be interesting to see what tactical adjustments are made in the coming days. Seems we'd been transitioning from standoff weapons (see the 800+ Tomahawks fired) and stealth platforms to more vulnerable platforms. Seems odd to be losing airframes after "this war has been won"...
jeff
A little flippant given our service members being in harms way, no? One aviator is still unaccounted for.
I'm trying to walk the line here but the message from our senior leadership is things like "total air dominance", "complete control of Iranian skies", "They have no anti-aircraft...
