I purchased the exact unit you posted (I'd have to go back to double check) for my 10 bolt rear end on the '69 Camaro as it was a one-wheel peel car originally. I didn't buy the complete kit, just the posi unit. I purchased Richmond 3.73 gears to go with it. It's been over four years or so...
These Raybestos front rotors just showed up on my doorstep an hour ago so I had to take a peek. My son and I plan on doing his front brakes this weekend for his '16 Honda Accord. These look good to go.
I had Hagerty in the past but I've been with American Modern for 3-4 years now. No complaints although I've never had a claim on either. I do like the fact American Modern doesn't have strict rules on the use of your car.
In our family , we had two CVTs (Altima & Versa) go out. The Altima was sold as is for basically nothing and the Versa ( only had 67k miles or so) was a 6k repair bill. Needless to say, there will be no more Nissans purchased in our family.
My oldest bought a 2010 Avalon last year. The car is in excellent shape and I was impressed with the ride and interior of the car. So far we dropped the transmission pan and replaced the filter and fluid. That job wasn't too bad. The alternator went a couple of month's ago but that's normal on a...
The lower ball joints were MK6663 which is their Supreme line. I couldn't find the part number on the uppers but it would have to guess I used the Supreme line there as well.
My first car was a '73 Monte Carlo with a 350 small block. I had it through high school and college. It was bulletproof and sold it with around 120K on it. A year or so later I found out the car was sold as a non-runner as the differential gave way.
Back in the day we babied our cars with...
I've had the Arcan 2.5 ton steel/aluminum hybrid for years. I don't think they make this model anymore. It had leak once but it was just the o-ring on the fill plug. 10 cent fix. I have no complains with this jack.
One thing I'm sure you've noticed, a lot of these brands look like the same...
The timing is odd that there will be another documentary coming out from ITV on the same subject. A member of our Camaro club loaned out his '68 Camaro for the show. Apparently Koresh had a 1st gen Camaro.
It was very interesting to get my friend's perspective on the behind the scenes making...
I've been using this for years now. It works great on all steel brake caliper pins. Repeat, all steel slide pins.
I was refreshing my sons brakes this past weekend. His car has the one pin with the rubber bushing. ( for vibration I believe.) I had to use a pair of pliers and use a lot of force...
Reminds me of time when I was riding in my college friend's 1970's Cutlass. We were going down the freeway just fine when it just died. Turns out he had an extremely loose battery cable connection. Of course he didn't have any tools in the car, not even a screwdriver. We found a piece of wood...
I try to drive my '69 Camaro every weekend unless it is raining or if I'm out of town. I also attend local car shows and club events. I'm averaging 4-5K miles a year.
It is decades away but someday I'll have to hand the keys over to my kids because I can't drive anymore. We will all get there...
