It depends on what that 5W-30 inside is. Mercedes says that anything with 229.5 approval, and a link to all motor oils carrying said approval was provided to you, is fine to use with the provided OCI.

I will brace myself for the wrath of the forum because I am not going to recommend Mobil 1 0W-40. I'd go with Quaker State 5W-40, Pennzoil 0W-40 or Castrol 0W-40. My engine (same as your M272) is the loudest with the Mobil and also burns it the most.

229.51 and .52 are mid/low SAPS so that is why you are not seeing them together. Nothing wrong with it being only 229.5. It actually may be preferred to be that way by many.

Also FYI, HPL Euro 5W-40 and Super Car 5W-40 are the exact same oil.
