    ethanol is a sham!!!!!!!

You seem to forget which free market president picked this winner. Was it a president or was it congress, EPA, etc.? Even ozone Al Gore said last week, it was political - to HELP the farmers. Which farmers, Archer Daniels (sp) Midland, and their buckets of political payoff money?

    Overdosing gasoline

Can anyone come up with real ingredient numbers for what is used in 'Top Tier' gasoline vs the same numbers on regular gasoline? Different additives? In my limited research, all I can find is 'Top tier has more/better additives', no actual data. If verifiable numbers are not available, to my...

bp 93 octane = white gas?????????

Amoco premium 'white' gas, in the late '50s and part of the '60s, did contain lead. My dad owned an Amoco station during that period. I seem to remember the tetraethel? tag on the pumps.

    Mechanic Rip Off

I have 3 vehicles, Subaru SW, Ford Ranger, and a '76 Corvette. About 15 years ago I found a local garage that had all the Hi-Tech equipment to service my newer cars. 99% of the Corvette work I do myself. It is not that the garage can not do it, it's because I like to work on my 'vette. Both...

    Underdog or darkhorse collectible cars...

1958 Chrysler 300 D. Last of the original 392 hemis. My favorite, which I could not afford, was the 1956-57 Lincoln MK 2(I think that is the correct Mark for those years). I don't see very many for sale.

    Done with manual trans.

Well lets see. Always had manual transmissions. Wife had 2 knees replaced. She has an auto now. My vehicles - Ford Ranger - manual, '76 Corvette - manual. I will say, without a doubt, that if I had to drive in big city rush hour traffic, I woul take an auto. But, I don't have to drive to...

I use VR1 10W-30 in my 383 stroker 'vette. I don't drive it in the winter. Been using this since I built the engine ~4 years ago. BTW, this is a flat tappet CC XE274H cam engine.
