Removed about half a quart from the reservoir. The oil had the consistency of a good old 20w50. I think I'll be fine.

I'm just going to suck some of the fluid out and go with it. I guess I'm being OCD....

I have no problem doing that. I'm just concerned that some idiot at the store poured 10w30 in the reservoir.

Yes, it's just plain overfilled unfortunately.

I just received a brand new Hustler Raptor SD 54 from Lowe's today and was doing a fluid check before cutting grass and noticed a potential issue. The hydro reservoir is WAY overfilled... I would say that it is over 3/4 full in fact. The store couldn't answer whether they topped it off or it...

LOL, I scored so much $1/qt synthetic from AZ a few months ago that EVERYTHING sounds expensive to me. I also purchased a bunch of WIX filters from rockauto. I'm doing name brand synthetic and wix filter changes at the tune of about $8 a pop for the next 2-3 year.

3750 miles is a waste of good oil. That combo is good for much longer than that.

I've been using pure 1 filters for years and have recently converted everything over to WIX. Purolator has lost me as a customer as long as WIX continues making quality filters.

70S COMMERCIAL MOBIL 1 Wow! Talk about bold claims... I guess they could get away with a lot more back then.

I would recommend Mobil 1 5w20 or Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w20 with a Wix filter. It's what I use on my 2012 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi and it seems to love it. Both the filter and oil can go the distance with ease with this combination.
