So does the thicker oil give a greater film strength to withstand the higher loads (cylinder pressures and bearing forces)?

For the sake of discussion, the supercharger would add 33% more HP and torque to the base engine.
How would we go about determining the optimal viscosity (or HTHS requirement)?
If you have a car which recommends 0W-20 from the manufacturer and we add a power adder to it (for sake of this discussion lets say a supercharger) does that warrant a change in oil viscosity?
Obviously the bearing clearances don't change and the supercharger has its own oiling system, so it...
Getting a few UOA (with TBN) is likely going to the be the only way to positively know whether you can extend your OCI or not.
Does Toyota still offer that engine and if so, does it fall into their 10K 0W-20 oil change regiment?
The flashpoint, viscosity and manganese seem to indicate you still have fuel dilution issues.
My guess is the iron is coming from your timing chain.
If it were my vehicle, I would try to find a thick 30w that meets warranty requirements and reduce your OCI until you can get a handle on the...
You didn't mention how many miles on the OCI. I would guess that it does have a little bit of gas in the oil but overall not as bad as many DI vehicles.

I have a Atlas TC221. I use it mainly to change motorcycle tires but have done a few car tires too. Probably changed 100+ tires so far with no issues.
If you have any specific questions, I can try to answer them.
