Yea you're probably right.

But I'll just have to go on good faith and change the oil again next week. I'll probably get the oil from that oil change analyzed just for peace of mind.

The reason for the doubt is that the employee said the mechanic who actually did the oil change said the car can't be given full sythentic while its in the break in period.

So you are saying no one should ever go to a non dealer mechanic? That all of them just put any oil they want in, no matter what people ask for?

No, never.

For tracking, the car needs more front cambor. Only a performance type shop will do an alighnment like that. Mavis etc won't add cambor.
