I fill filter with fresh oil, when topped off, rub with index finger. My ford filters go straight up and down so easy peasy

Question, your miles go from 6800 to 7000 to 8000 for oil change. Are you going off your OLM? I have a 16 Fusion same motor, change @ 5000 miles my oil life monitor is usually at approx. 50 to 60%. Just wondering, or just change when convenient?

Crap, I did the drain and fill on my 2014 Ford Escape, but now I have a 2018 Ford Escape and I just checked, it has changed! No more yellow top cap on fill port! At least I'm still under 3k, time to make a plan. Thanks MParr for the heads up.

Thanks bd, yeah I checked the strength of the "pink" anti freeze and it was only -10, sucked out as much of the -10 as I could and added about a pint of concentrate orange, guess what it turned to the orange that I was use to seeing. Bought the car with 26 miles on it last week, nice job ford...

Just bought a 2018 Ford Escape with a build date of 8-9-2018, It has pink antifreeze in it. (not orange) Had a 2014 Escape with orange. Anyway the manual shows WSS-M9B44-D2 that's the orange #. Any thoughts?

My Two Fords both have 2.0L D.I. Turbo's, I like 5k oci's, a lot of short trips, a hint of fuel smell at that time. Plus I still have 47 quarts of Pennzoil Ultra 5W-30 left over from Autozone three years ago.

gotta bunch on AutoZone clearance, 0W-30 Castrol and 10W-30 should equal my required 5W-30, Sorry about the kittens

I just pulled the trigger on a set of 4 General Altimax Arctic 12's. Discount Tire Direct 235/55 17's for $512 minus $100 minus $50 rebate = $362. Too good of price to turn down. Not a lot of testing on these new tires, fingers crossed. I ski on Mt Hood and need a tire that works in deep snow...

my last oil change for my Escape and Fusion, both 2.0L ecoboost's, from my stash, 3 quarts 0W-30 Belgium Castrol and 3 quarts 10W-30 Pennzoil Ultra. Yes the good Ultra.

Plus there's a $7 rebate on a gallon right now.
