Motul 5w40 ~3750 miles + 1 track day, Kia Stinger

Thanks. I sent them an email asking about it. I sent both the virgin and 1500 sample in the same package. Is it possible they swapped the values?

I think severe service is 3000 miles / 6 months. I did the change because I was just over 6 months.

Motul 5w40 ~3750 miles + 1 track day, Kia Stinger

Final of 3 reports for this oil fill. Kia Stinger, 1 track day, then ~3750 miles city/highway driving with approx 6-6.5 months total oil duty cycle. Changed the oil, although reports indicate 6k miles would be fine, so I may extend a bit next time. Sampled at 1500 miles, that report is here...

Not sure how that happened. My bad.

Motul 5w40 ~1500 miles + 1 track day, Kia Stinger

I believe it has a small radiator-type oil cooler. 275F is an "upper range" guess, since Kia doesn't provide a way to read oil temp over the OBD2 protocol, just a dash-gauge with a "range" with 250 and 300 marked off and me trying to glance at it as I am running on the track. I'm usually...

Oil recc '19 Stinger 3.3TT with track time?

Follow-up thread here. Decided to go with track-mechanic's advice and run Motul 5w40 Sport. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/motul-5w40-1500-miles-1-track-day-kia-stinger.358807/

Motul 5w40 ~1500 miles + 1 track day, Kia Stinger

Previous thread here for where I asked questions: https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/oil-recc-19-stinger-3-3tt-with-track-time.351806/ Based on track-shop's advice and not great inventory of other oils, I decided to try Motul 5W40 Sport (got a pretty good deal on Amazon). Here's the...

Oil recc '19 Stinger 3.3TT with track time?

Thanks, that is true - revs will be up on the track. However, I don't want to mess things up when NOT on the track, and I'd like to avoid doing 2 oil changes (before AND after) if I don't need to - I just want something that will do 280F+ reliably while on the track, and swap it out afterwards...

Oil recc '19 Stinger 3.3TT with track time?

Thanks. I just checked again - manual says SM or better, so in that case, it probably doesn't matter..

Oil recc '19 Stinger 3.3TT with track time?

The M1 0w40 euro has only SN, not SN+ / SP? Isn't SN+ important for GDI and avoiding LSPI and/or valve deposits?

Oil recc '19 Stinger 3.3TT with track time?

Is this the correct QS? It's SP, not SN+? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Quaker-State-Euro-Full-Synthetic-5W-40-Motor-Oil-1-Quart/185303257 Edit: I also read somewhere that QS might have more carbonization / valve deposits (IIRC) than M1, for example? M1 FS 5w30 / 5w40 also seems to meet 229.5?
