If one shock fails, there’s three others to pick up the slack to a certain extent. That and there’s usually a decent amount of oil left in them even if they’ve been leaking. Once the internal pressure is gone, there’s nothing to push the rest of the oil out.

You’ll probably like it a lot more if you fix it up. I’m always more attached, even to an old beater, once I get it running right and cleaned up and a 2014 with 70k miles is still pretty new/low mileage!

The spring actually holds it open not closed. So technically, if everything else is the same a stronger spring will let more air through pcv valve. A bit more is better than less in most cases. My opinion.

If the OEM is so good, why does it need replaced🤔? I will use OEM if I’m making rock auto order and they’re cheap. Otherwise whatever the parts store has.

I like CRC belt conditioner, soften the red plastic straw with a lighter and form into u shape to get back of the belt. It that doesn’t work then yep new belt, and probably tensioner and idler time.

It does feel like silicone. It’s very smooth, slick and flexible.
