I believe it works because my wifes 00 L comes on at 3K-4K and she drives mainly 60% City. I drive pretty much the same style every week, I have a pretty large area that I cover. The OLM comes on as early as 7,200, and late as 7,600, it is also a idiot light and not a percentage of oil life...
