There good for about 700-750hp......but you have to warm it up well, replace the injectors say every 10-20k.......spark plugs about the same.......I gave up on BMW V8s along time ago, there not good at it. Now Inline 6s? The S58 might be the best engine Ive ever seen. Never seen a motor handle...

Timing Chain Guide Material, Ive seen it first hand myself. Thats not much at all. Is youre engine stock? If so, I wouldnt worry about it. If modded, run 40wt oil only, run about 10k and pull the pan again....modded S63s will eat that guide up, Id fix it. Under 700hp, youre good

300v has been shown to be ok up to about 3k.......waste of money yes, but it works well as a daily considering its a race oil. 8100 Gen 2 Excess actually out does it on some cars on the track, which is wierd lol

Im still blown away that people will fully question a guy that was employed by a race team for years on this very subject. Im like 100% sure he knows more than any of us about motor oil. It's like LSPjr vs a guy that works at Jiffy Lube.....what a forum lol

Im sorry, not trying to defend the guy, but he was employed by actual race teams.......I think he knows what he's doing. He's a science based guy, vs speculation......how could you call the guy a noob if he helped develop oils for race teams? I mean the internet is something else..

That motor was spec'd originally for 5w30......I would honestly just run Mobil 1 0w40.......Ive seen this oil survive 300 degree temps at the track, and its cheap. I dont use it, but its fantastic for what it is......

I think with a Prius, it wont matter much, those motors arent high hp, and are known to run clean with regular oil changes using Walmart oil. So Im sure youre engine is already spotless..... Only guys I know that run RLI have like 800hp GTRs.....its a popular oil with that community.......
