This might sound crazy, but HPL oils are so good, I don't even check anymore. Id say get a sample after 5k just to see where its at, but I change my cars at 5k-7.5 anyway........never seen any HPL oil that couldn't make 10k miles easy.....
Jesus, lots of crazy expectations for and oil lol. Hemi engines are historically hard on oil, and for a 15k run this actually looks pretty good. I mean Im sure at 10k everything would have been still in grade....
I dont think any other oil could make it 15k with the same number on this engine...
I like the fact I never have to worry about the oil, or really worry about changing it after a few track days. Plus they are super transparent about what goes into the oil, and with the 15% discount we get its not bad at all.......what oil can you buy that contains mPAO and no VI with a 229.5...
So lucky we have a company like HPL where we can get the best oils no matter the cost. Have a few track days coming up, and after talking to these guys, this oil will work out great......Mobil 1 0w40 would to, but I like to support small American Business if possible
Looking at the data, that engine seems really easy on oil, like you would get the same results at 5k intervals no matter what oil you chose, just as along as its 30wt
Klotz is a great oil. Same type of company as HPL. Caters to race cart guys, crazy power diesels, and guys running 2 stroke oil. I used to run thier oil in my old 2 stroke 2.5 Diamond Marine 300 Merc outboard that spun 9k rpms. Really popular in the Indian motorcycle crowd. Good company.
