Opened the pool yesterday… nice, even if only brief, warm stretch here in PA

I just replaced my Explorer tires that were just under 4/32… Those tires were going on 5 years and 53,000 miles, so I feel like I got my moneys worth. I also have our annual beach trek coming up and thought that replacing a tad early is better than a little late…

Just bought Kuhmo Crugen HP71 from Tire Rack for the 2017 Explorer. These will replace Michelin DefenderLTX that are worn out at 52,000 miles. $200 instant rebate and another $80 mail in rebate makes this a good deal me thinks. I’ll update with pictures when they arrive on Friday…

Not to hijack, but our son’s 2012 Focus has gone through too many batteries too quickly. In a moment of clarity I’m thinking that the aftermarket remote starter combined with his infrequent driving pattern probably is to blame… I’ll have to learn how to check for the parasitic draw…
