How many oz of kreen do I add per gallon of gasoline? I use LC20 in the oil for now.
I ordered kreen to be added to the fuel and see what that does never used the stuff..
I did use the amsoil power foam to clean the intake and I was impressed with how much [censored] was in there. I used the whole can and I plan on doing a cleaning once a year as it also cleans the intake valves...
Im going to try amsoils power foam and Berrymans combustion cleaner. I did try some water in a spray bottle for about 5 minn with the engine at 2000 rpm but the knock is still there under load at 1500 rpm.
I would like to do a piston soak but with it being a V8 is a pain in the [censored] so im...
Hey guys I have a jeep with a 5.2 V8 with 170k on it that has detionation at around 1500 rpm and im cosidering carbon build up in the chamber to be possibly the problem(swtiching to a higher octane fuel the knock goes away)...
I have used alot of diffrent fuel cleaners in the past but nothing...
The solvents in MMO will flash off. I would keep an eye on your oil level and top off with oil only when needed. I see no reason to dump the oil sooner unless it looks real black.
If you had burnt exhaust valves its not the fuels fault its the tune in your computer. What AFR at WOT did you see?
I run solid 100% e85 in my race motor in my 4 cylinder turbo talon and never had a problem.
If you have no way to tune the AFR im sure it went real lean and blew the head gasket...
What I ended up using this year is a good dose of star tron and lucas fuel lube for the cylinder walls. My car is stored in a heated garage so I really dont have to worry about condensation but a dry start up I dont like. I could fog each cylinder but thats a little over kill for how log it will...
Is there a better fuel stabizer out now or are they all the same? Im going to give star tron a try this season.. many great reviews on it. Stabil just seems like old school but it does work.

I personally think its a great Idea. Racers have been using it for years. I use several on my race motor. Drain plug, one on the oil pan rail and there is one in the magnus reusable filter.
Anything to keep the oil clean of C R A P is a good thing.
An engine run for 3 seconds with no oil pressure at idle will not pose a problem as there is no load on the crankshaft or bearings. The engine is not completely dry as there is still some oil left on the parts from shut down.
An engine will see more wear starting it up in the morning when its...
Changing to a diffrent brand of oil filter will change the pressures as well so keep that in mind.
I also see no problem with the oil pressures you have now.
Oil pressures you should be looking at are the max and the min you are seeing on the gauge.
Do you have an oil temp gauge?
