Anybody loyal to one brand? In person I claim to not be brand loyal but I'm secretly loyal to Castrol. We own a 2019 KTM exc-f 500 that I've secretly used supertech cf2 in 400 hrs. Internals near perfect with that "Wrong" oil. We did a top end rebuild last week. Vehicles, tractor get the "Best"...
The difference between the two is so minimal. I now use it but that's only because it's available 1 mile from my house 27.00 for 5 quart jug. And it's going into two vehicles that actually spec 0w20 & 5w-30. But this next oil change will be a total of 20,000 miles per vehicle using the "WRONG" oil
I'm glad I have roughly 300 gallons of various oils in stock. I started hoarding in 2020. Before that I never had more than 4 or 5 quarts of motor oil/gear oil/ATF at a time.
That's fine it most applications. I'm just OCD and would always change around 12 months if I had low mile vehicles but the way we drive; oil changes every 3 month's. Castrol or Supertech
Super tech is only about .50 cents cheaper per quart. Unless maintaining a fleet of vehicles; 6 or more. I'd fork out the extra 50 cents per quart to use what I like. CASTROL Gold Bottle 🍼 is my personal fav.
I use it with success in my KTM 500 which is wet Clutch. Same Clutch grab as the Motorex. I don't know about wear metals vs Motorex but it's worked for me last 3 changes.
