Had this happen on two of the four new tire purchased at Belle Tire, both real slow rim leaks. 1 psi leak every day. They fixed both. Never happened on any other tires I purchased in 35 years.
I had a bottle of Gumout fuel treatment leak on the rear seat fabric a few weeks ago. Lots of blotting up the offending liquid, followed by a rag with diluted dishsoap (Dawn) got it out of the fabric. Good luck, just be patient and keep repeating the blotting / soap treatment.
My father suffered the safe fate as Bruce, very aggressive form of dementia. 5 years from diagnosis to passing away. Not very much that can be done for Bruce at this point but keep him comfortable.
I took the car into the dealer back in 2019 for a recall of some PCV item, and they also updated the software IIRC. 87000 miles. Great car except the transmission is awful, as everyone knows. Wish I had known before I bought it at 1.5 years old / 22K miles.
Performed a transmission fluid drain and refill on my 2017 Focus with the 6speed DCT. Over the last few weeks, I started to get a grind/crunch sound during downshift in the first mile or so after sitting overnight. Read it's probably the synchros getting bad. My last ditch effort before getting...
We had a 1982 Chrysler E-Class that progressed towards nearly violent 1-2 shifts. I remember something about transmission bands needing adjustment, that fixed the issue. Does your trans have this type of setup that can be adjusted?
Since you are under warranty, can you take it into the dealer and see if there are any tsb's for this issue? Get it documented in case the issue gets worse.
And remember most folks cannot make moderate repairs to high mileage low cost vehicles. Spend $3000 and two months later it's bricked, and they no longer can get to work.
I would plug the hole and keep an eye on the air pressure for a week. Over the years, I have patched many tires with nails / screws in that spot on the tread, never an issue.
