I would buy Mercon V from Ford. I had poor shifts in my Mustang on Maxlife. I used Lubegaurd Platinum.

I like Valvoline Maxlife. Works well in my truck as Dextron VI. It isn't as good in my Mustang though. I think its too thin. I just changed it out to Ford Mercon V and the transmission shifts so much nicer.

Mine is all over the place. Depends if AC is on or off. Highway driving vs city stop and go. 4L60E is decent transmission. You just have to service them often. 260,000 kms on mine and still shifts great.

I did have a wix air filter have a torn seal. I found it when I changed my oil in the spring. Not a horrible idea to check on it every so often.

I change mine every two years in my truck.

I use an adapter on a usb a power pack. No issues. No need to throw the battery in the garbage for no reason.

Starter clutch

I run M1 0W40 in my snowmobile. It has a wet clutch. It works just fine. 18 years old and hasn't blown the engine or starter.

Like I aid, sea foam. I've owned my 4.8 since new. I've changed the o ring. Always ran synthetic. Sea foam once a year gets rid of most noises. 250,000+ kms on it now. Hasn't blown up yet. Still uses no oil in between oil changes. I think LS engines make noise if any "gunk" is on the rings or...

Dump a half a can of sea foam in it and take it out for a hard drive.

I have a Merc 30hp. Its been awesome. I would buy another in a heartbeat.

I use the 6017A and 6607 interchangeably on my snowmobile and outboard. They haven't blown up yet...
