    Interesting, did not know that! This boat is our slalom skiing tug, so it gets started, idles for a minute or two, then 3300 rpm for five minutes, repeat 2-3 times per morning.

    This is in a inboard ski boat. Engine is a Ford 351W with multiport fuel injection. (PCM GT40) has about 440 hours on it, oil was in for 48hrs this year. Ran from April to beginning of November. Manufacturers recommended oil change interval is 50 hours. Thoughts?

    Based on the relatively new ticking noise at the front of the engine I'm wondering if the aluminum is coming from the vacuum pump.

    Fair amount of towing on this one. Was surprised to see the fuel since it hasn't been too cold yet. Usually have that issue over winter with my short trips.

    I think high iron is normal on these engines, but mine seems a little higher than average. Also found this when checking the air filter this weekend, so this is fine ...‚

    2014 Silverado, 5.3. Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20, 5700 mile interval with WIX WL10255XP filter. Oil in service for 9 months. 27% OLM 26k miles on the truck now. Significant amount of towing over 5k lbs and daily trips are 12 miles each. Seems like the 12 mile trips on the previous changes do not...
