    Ever heard of Motosel oil???

$54 here. Checked before I bought. Great option if it's on sale. Edit: live in Vancouver now.

    Ever heard of Motosel oil???

Also, snapped a pic of the Motosel, surprised they can lie on the bottle.

    Ever heard of Motosel oil???

Didn't go with it; wanted to get a discussion going however. It was $35/5L and I decided on Total Quartz Energy 9000 5W40 that was $39/5L. Has BMW LL-01 approval which is comforting. Don't know if I'll get a VOA/UOA. Just run it for 9 or 10,000 kms and know I'm fine. Wanted to go with GC...

    Ever heard of Motosel oil???

Approvals are still on the site, just meant that I saved them. TBH, was looking around at a local store in Vancouver where I just moved and this was on the shelf. It's a local company, blended in Chicago and found it worth posting in here for the first time in years. I looked up the MB 229.3...

    Ever heard of Motosel oil???

I know little about those specs; are they highly regarded?

    Ever heard of Motosel oil???

Interesting. It's only 229.3 not the ones they listed. Very inconsistent. Here's the approvals that I saved off their site.

    Ever heard of Motosel oil???

Old thread, I know, but wanted to post as I'm considering using this oil for an 8,000 km OCI. Talked to the operations manager who sent me a spec sheet with the following info. I called and asked about the base stocks and HTHS and he replied with 50% PAO and the rest group OIL, and HTHS of...

    Castrol TWS 10w-60 VOA

Analysis done at the Finning Lab in Edmonton, AB. Sample date was October 17, 2011. You'll have to right click, view image or zoom in as I couldn't make it larger for some reason

    Mobile 1 0W-40, 2,600 miles, 2008 Porsche Cayman S

Doug slightly off topic, but since you're a Porsche guy, what would you recommend for a 2000 Carrera 911 with 60,000 kms M1 0w40, CS 5w40, Liqui Moly 5w40 Amsoil 5w40 and Rotella 5w40 are all readily available. Daily driven in the summer and fall, parked for the winter. Thanks

Alternatives for Castrol 10w60 TWS for M3

TWS 10w60 is a wonderful oil; we're becoming apparent of that. The question remains though, what are alternatives to it for a e46 m3 with the s54 engine? Motul 300v 5w40 works so far, according to some UOA's. Castrol Syntec 5w50 also seems to work based on the PTG race car, but who knows their...

Any thoughts on the new Rotella T 5w-40 for this engine during a Canadian winter? Terry mentioned a while back to me that it was going to be a wonderful product...

Alternatives for Castrol 10w60 TWS for M3

I'd be interested in trying something different in my, new-to-me, 03 M3. Caterham: where'd you see the Mobil 10w60?
