    Polestar Exiting US Market

I’m guessing this thread will be deleted because “politics”…. But anyway, Polestar is unfortunately going away for the US market. They have been banned by the US Government. “STOCKHOLM/WASHINGTON, June 25 (Reuters) - Polestar said on Thursday the Trump administration ‌was forcing the...

    EVs on Long Road Trips

Google Maps has added EV Profiles for almost every EV out there if you’re using Android Auto. So you can get great route planning on anything. I believe some EVs are getting/have got planning through Apple Maps too. Plus, A Better Route Planner is very popular too. It’s all very easy...

    Slate EV Pickup

Totally agree. My 5x8’ enclosed Aluma trailer is probably the best automotive purchase of life. I should get an aluminum open trailer too. Charging up at Electrify America’s pull-through stalls with my Blazer EV 😎

    EV lots getting cleaned out.

Keep in mind from a DC charging standpoint, new Tesla/NACS and CCS1 are the same thing. Tesla switched to the CCS1 communication standard (the more secure and more universal ISO 15118) around 2020. A simple adapter gives almost everyone access to almost every station (except some ancient Tesla...

Chevrolet Blazer EV vs. Cadillac LYRIQ

GM has been on a tear lately with OTA updates for the LYRIQ. Generally there’s been about one per month, now about 6 in just May and June. So far I’ve got: Update 661.10 Fixes to help ensure proper functionality for wireless phone charging. Update 661.20 Improvements to interior audio...

Can you convert Juicebox J1772-to-NACS ?

Generically/theoretically yes - the problem is the charger-end of the cables aren’t standard on how it connects to the charger itself. I’d try another adapter first. Is it possible they got a cheapo adapter? I’d get a quality Lectron or A2Z adapter. I’ve been running a Lectron NACS-to-J1772...

People who trade in vehicles after 0-2 years for silly reasons. Are people really this bad with finances?

Life’s short and you can’t take it with you. Do what makes you happy. Even if a “dumb” trade-in decision costs you $10k but you keep the car for 5 years - $2k a year. Not that big of a deal. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    EV lots getting cleaned out.

Good choice. My LYRIQ is spectacular. Probably will lease a VISTIQ as soon as the 2027s hit the lot. (To replace a 2014 BMW X3). Used LYRIQ pieces have gone up a lot lately. My 2025 CPO Sport3 was $50K in October. Same car at the same dealer is $56k today.
