Carguy996, If I were you I'd take it to a car wash and ask the detail guys opinion. He should have the polishes to bring back the shine unless you are scared to burning through the clear coat. In that case you best bet is to have your ride re-painted. My two cents. Durango

I have two cars in the Chevy brand: 2008 Impala SS 5.3 liter and a 2013 Camaro RS both recommend 5W-30 Dexos. I'm guessing the oil weights haven't changed. Durango

Not know what the weather conditions are where you live I'd go for the M1 annual protection and change once per year. Just make sure you get a oil filter that'll go the distance. Durango

I like to have my cabin filter changed every year and the air filter every 6 months. Since both my cars are still under warranty the dealership makes the final decision wether I like it or not. Durango

I get the same condition from my 08' Impala SS with the transverse 5.3 engine as well. Although I use Mobil 1 5WX30 I just assumed that was the way it is and my car is garaged!! Perhaps I should try going back to the GM conventional??? It's considered to be a blend. Durango
