Not that is is relevant here but I remember the original m60's had an issue with the nikasil coating and high sulfer gas turning into sulfurac acid and thats why they had to recall all those engines and goto the alusil cylinder coating.
Thank you! This makes sense as last winter when we had -9 degrees weather I had a radiator failure and ran about 10 miles overheating (3am in the morning) so that may explain it. Unfortunately I tossed the old filter but I'll examine this one when i do the next change.
Mobil1 0W40 is what I've been using on it since 2008, I still don't really understand the differance between the ll01 and llo4.
So one of you guys is saying to use the ESP 5w30 which is llo4?
And your saying use Mobil1 0W40 which is ll01.

Well I don't think they would say to test again in another 4k miles if it was considered unusable.
