Imho, if oil changes were irregular with long OCIs then may be VRP is a good choice for at least one OCI. M1 ESP 0w-30 will work great in the engine, basically any VW 504 oil.

Imho, if you do wanna suck with 0w-20 oil, may as well use Mobil 1 ESP oil, they make it in that viscosity and it's an excellent oil.
