I'd think an open but capped fluid should be good for at least a year and possibly 2 as that's conditions similar to what fluid in car's expansion canister experiences anyway. Such a fluid is def better than a 5+ year old black one in the car's canister.

It may have something to do with the tech the TV is utilizing e.g. OLED, QLED or Mini LED. Also, I ran into a video basically saying OLED screens degrade the fastest out of the three while initially offer best image. 75 inches is quite a size.
Not sure about your very case but when I replaced TB on Forte (in sig) I just disconnected battery, replaced the TB making sure O-ring is seating properly, connected batt, let car go thru all its 'movements' with key in ON position before starting it and then just let it idle for a few mins...
Just do drain and fill, and if drained ATF doesn't look good, may be another drain and fill at next oil change.
I do D/F every 30k miles and transmissions are working great and smooth.
You can just keep one empty or full bottle for that, no need to buy more. I keep 1L bottle in trunk in case I need to add oil be it my or another person's car, I just add oil to 1L bottle at home from a jug.
