After researching, I'm not sure the Hemi even has a IAC valve, but I guess maybe throttle body might be an issue? I will check the fan, best I can tell only has the hydraulically driven engine cooling fan.

Not sure. A/C is definitely one of my weak areas in automotive skills. How would I check that?

Well, I don't think I will convince them to get a minivan, no matter the practicality. As far as a Jeep or Durango, whether deserved or not, the Mopar reputation for lack of reliability may be a no-go. I still like my Commander and Charger, but they have had a higher than average repair need.
