    2012 Ford E350 5.4L - 7k miles

Yes, 2 valve. It's also a FFV, but only sees 87. No e85 around here.

    2012 Ford E350 5.4L - 7k miles

I was thinking about trying 5W30 to stop the consumption. I filled it with PP 5W20 this time so we will see how the consumption goes compared to the M1 5W20. I might just top it off with 5W30 if I need to add, but I still have 4 quarts of PP 5W20 left. Is the magnesium a concern?

    2012 Ford E350 5.4L - 7k miles

How does it look? I bought the truck back in August with 160k miles. I used M1 synthetic 5w20 and topped with PP 5w20. I did burn some oil as seen by the make up oil.

It's -10F here this morning with about -33F with the wind chill. I started my car and went to the store and the noises were terrifying. My power steering pump was making a lot of noise, my blinkers were not working consistently until about halfway home, my transmission shifted very stiff...

The highest mileage vehicle you own and have owned

166k miles on my 2012 Ford E350 work truck. I bought it back in August with 160k on it. It came from Maine but I bought it in New Jersey. It has the 5.4L flex fuel engine. I'm hoping to get 300k+ out of it.

    Recommend me a box truck

Yes a step van would be optimal if I could get one big enough. With the warehouse being 30 miles away the less trips there the better with the terrible gas mileage. So if I have a bigger truck I can make 2 trips instead of 3 and a big gas savings. I think I need an 18 footer for sure. A 16...

Spark plug boot broke. Stuck on spark plug

Yes it has the rubber inside the spark plug wrench. I'll see if I can remove it and maybe it will be able to slide around and get the spark plug off.

Spark plug boot broke. Stuck on spark plug

Yea the whole boot comes off and I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't stay seated at first until I compared it to one of the other boots. There's probably 2 inches of metal still connected to the end of the spark plug. Is it even magnetic?

Spark plug boot broke. Stuck on spark plug

It's about 6-8 inches deep. It's cylinder #3 on my engine and it's an absolute nightmare to work on. I have to use a special spark plug socket that twists to get in as a regular one just can't make the turn. I can't see at all what I'm doing either. Do you think a coat hanger would be able to...

Spark plug boot broke. Stuck on spark plug

So my car broke down today and found the spark plug boot completely out of the cylinder. I put it back in but noticed it wouldn't stay seated and would just slide back out. I determined the little metal piece inside the boot itself broke off about halfway into the tube. The other end must be...

    Recommend me a box truck

It will be used for hauling chips around to deliver to stores. I'll definitely avoid the Isuzu then. I have a little while before I need one. I'm just trying to get my research in now that way I know what I want when the time comes. DoubleWasp, is that Chevy truck with 400,000 miles on it...

    Recommend me a box truck

The reason I don't want to go diesel is the gelling up in the cold weather. I hear about trucks all the time gelling up when it gets down to around 0 degrees and I just don't want that headache and extra expense of replacing the fuel filter or using fuel additive to get it to run right. If it...
