I lovingly ran the Mazda 0W-20 OE Moly oil for the first few oil changes and noticed I lost about a quart over half the 7500 mile oil change interval. I switched to Mobil 1 0W-20 EP and I now don't lose a drop of oil over 7500 miles. My fuel economy is just as good, wear numbers are great, and...
I have been the most pleased with M1 0W-20 EP - least amount of oil consumption and runs very well on 7500 mile OCIs in my 2014. I drive about 18k miles a year.
I love my skyactiv engine in my 2014 Mazda 6. I ran the Mazda Genuine with Moly oil for 15,000 miles and wound up with mild oil consumption during the oil change interval (1/2 qt at 3k miles). I switched to Mobil 1 0W-20 EP formula and the oil consumption went to 0. My assumption is that the...
I have one from 2013 in a car that lives in the garage most of the time, driven once a week or so, still putting out the same 550CCA it did when new. Incredible thing. (Nissan Versa) That said, without a coupon they charge too much for them and I can get a better warranted Interstate from Costco...
I have the Toro mow and stow version with the Briggs engine on it, manual recommends SAE 30. I have found it runs very smoothly and nicely on Rotella T6 5W-40. Tons of zinc and cheaper than the Briggs lawnmower oil. The mower warranty is only 2 years long and I'm past it.
I run 225/55R17 snows on my winter driver - my Mazda 6 - (Pirelli Sottozero performance snows I got on clearance) and they're far from low profile considering how big the tire and wheel assembly is. You'll do well with the new Continental snow tire or even the cheaper yokohama. Bridgestone's are...
Since most of my Walmart shelves are empty for the 0W-20 Mobil 1 EP I normally buy - I am considering ordering some 5-Quart jugs of it from Walmart.com - Have any of you done this and if so did it arrive without damage?
FYI the newest oil filter is the 1WPE - which replaces the PE01 part from Japan.
