That is codsendation build up ,the dodge engines do it when the temp gets really low .The plastic filler tube is cold and lets it build up .When the temp gets around 50f or so it should not be noticable.We call it snot buildup.

I agree with triple7 I would use a conoco syn oil tropartic or mototcraft very good price for a syn blend and stay at severe service .

Does the engine require a 5w30 or 5w20 ,more info.

I have a 2006 3.7 ram good engine. I would not go more than 10w30 I run 5w30 mobil5000.

I like the logic bill the guy from Utah has about syn verses conv.

I have been thinking the same way about full syn. I was at pepboys and the price for synthetic 6.00 ,no thanks.

Why do they have 2 set of numbers anyway 3000-6000? Why not one size fits all.

I beleve they have to many selections to chose from.

The only place I see mobil7500 around here is AA.And it has dust on most of them,but the mobil5000 sells very good at AA and walmart.
