I've run Mobil 1 in my 2001 Sequoia since 12,000 miles. I now have over 100,000 miles and there are NO leaks whatsoever. I also have Mobil 1 ATF and Mobil 1 gear oil in the rear end. All have no leaks.
While I've never owned a Lexus, any name brand 5w-30 oil should work great. Sorry I can't help you with specifics on how to change the oil in that particular vehicle but it should be about like any other vehicle. You might look at the Lexus Owner's Club. Here is the DIY oil change...
martyi,
I'm glad to see that you care about your vehicle beyond the time that you intend to keep it. The Honda is a fine machine indeed. Your original plan is a great idea and will go a long ways in helping your Honda last for hundreds of thousands of miles. Thank-you for caring about the next...
I have 90,000 miles on my 2001 Sequoia with the 4.7 engine. I have only used regular unleaded fuel since new. Absolutely no problems. I didn't check the owner's manual but as I recall, regular unleaded is specified. If you need me to check, let me know and I'll be glad to look it up for you.

Looks like a typical Toyota UOA - nearly no wear. By the way, while I could certainly be wrong, it is my understanding that the sludge issue was resolved in the middle of the '01 model year. I have no documentation of this but that's what I understand.
I own a 2000 Honda Accord V6. There is no transmission pan which can be dropped. On the V6 model, you add ATF through a fill hole after you remove a threaded bolt in the top of the transmission. On the 4 cylinder model, you add fluid through the dipstick hole. I hope this helps. By the way, I...
I would recommend new rotors as having them turned is too unpredictable. The machinist at our local NAPA store tells me he quit machining brake rotors for this reason. While it is certainly possible to machine a rotor and get more life out of it, it is my belief that most rotors and drums are...
Many people, including myself, repack their front wheel bearings when a front brake job is done. I have waited until the second time I've replaced the front brake pads to do it and I've never had a problem. It is not a difficult job but it is very messy. I'm sure there are illustrated...
