Interesting that you mentioned the ones at Autozone. I just got one for my 98 Aurora, and not only did it say it was made by champion labs, it fit perfectly, and was identical to the original in my car.

I use them both in my 98 Aurora V8, and the car has had no problems in over 1000 miles...

The Solus KH16 are not replacements for the A/S 795. They (the KH16s) are Grand Touring tires, which is a totally different category than touring. The A/S 795 still exists and are being made by Kumho. I JUST check the Kumho site, and they were still there.

For a tire that small, I would strongly recommend the Kumho A/S 795 Touring tire. Excellent in anything from 1/2 inch to 14+ inches (had fun in a blizzard). Handles high speeds well, but not a racing tire, and are very affordable. Should run you about $200 installed for all 4. Only thing about...

That is interesting. I have an Oldsmobile Aurora with a 4.0L Northstar motor with 10.3:1 Compression, and the Iridiums are specced for my car. As a matter of fact, it comes with thin electrode platinums stock. Wonder if "High Compression" means even higher compression...
