New Windshield, best wipers and washer fluid?

Well, today I got a new windshield for my 98 Aurora. 1) How is Pilkington as far as Windshields go? 2) I have been told my current wipers (Ancos) will not cut it. He would not give specific recommendations, I guess so he would not have any liability. So, what wipers would you guys recommend? I...

Replacing PCV, are some better than others?

Interesting that you mentioned the ones at Autozone. I just got one for my 98 Aurora, and not only did it say it was made by champion labs, it fit perfectly, and was identical to the original in my car.

    VSOT and LC

I use them both in my 98 Aurora V8, and the car has had no problems in over 1000 miles...

High Temp Deposit Tests - M1, GC, Auto-RX mix

JAG - Great test. If you are taking requests, I would love to see the Gold GC, since that is all that is available unless you have a stash of the Green.

    Dunlop SP60 tires

The Solus KH16 are not replacements for the A/S 795. They (the KH16s) are Grand Touring tires, which is a totally different category than touring. The A/S 795 still exists and are being made by Kumho. I JUST check the Kumho site, and they were still there.

    Dunlop SP60 tires

For a tire that small, I would strongly recommend the Kumho A/S 795 Touring tire. Excellent in anything from 1/2 inch to 14+ inches (had fun in a blizzard). Handles high speeds well, but not a racing tire, and are very affordable. Should run you about $200 installed for all 4. Only thing about...

    Coca-Cola As An Engine Cleaner?

Well, there is also Phosphoric and/or Citric acid in Coca Cola, too. As a matter of fact, Coca Cola is one of the most acidic sodas, with a pH of 2.5.

    Why Iridium ?

Where are you finding that Iridium plugs are a step down in quality and service life from platinums? The article you quoted specifically says that Iridium has a MUCH higher heat resistance, making it better for wear, requires less voltage to fire, and are, and I quote "an excellent upgrade for...

Picked up a screw, but still holding air......

Definitely! And odds are, it will start leaking with a good blowout on the highway! I would not hesitate to immediately get it patched...

    Why Iridium ?

That is interesting. I have an Oldsmobile Aurora with a 4.0L Northstar motor with 10.3:1 Compression, and the Iridiums are specced for my car. As a matter of fact, it comes with thin electrode platinums stock. Wonder if "High Compression" means even higher compression...

    Pressurized crankcase

Doesn't pressure in the crankcase mean there is blowby from the combustion chamber due to stuck rings?

    Kumho ECSTA ASX Tires

I did a quick search before I asked about the TRZs, and I found nothing in the tire section other than what we have been discussing in this thread. What sort of miles do you have on your TRZs so far? How are they wearing? Look like they could make their claimed 80k miles?

    Kumho ECSTA ASX Tires

How much less performance do you get out of the Yoko TRZs? Also, how much mileage? I was looking at both those and the Avid V4s tires...

    Kumho ECSTA ASX Tires

I had been looking at these tires for my 98 Olds Aurora, but the more and more I read, and talked to those who have these tires, the more I realized, while good tires, they will not even make 30000 miles. The last person I talked to with these on his car killed them in just over 10k. He liked...
