    The ILSAC GF-5 is now the standard with a WSS-m2c946-a designation. The Ford F150 requires Motocraft 5W30 or 5W30 that meets the 929 standard that no longer exists.     Looking at the Mobil 1 information at the mobile web site I see that it now meets the new 946 spec but not the 929 spec. While the older 929 spec may be less stringent than the 946 spec and while Mobil says it Mobil 1 is "recommended", the letter of the Warranty requires 5w30 and the WSS 929...

    According to the most recent docs I could find from Mobil, Mobil 1 5w30 doesn't meet the specs for an Ecoboost. It's "recommended" but it no longer meets the actual 929 spec.
