Thanks everyone. I'm not too concerned with the oil will go with the manufacturer suggested OW-20 at 3500 miles or so OCI. I was more inquiring regarding what particular fuel additive to use on this 2.5 engine.

Thanks JustN89. At the time mechanic said old car's pcv valve was not working properly, that may have been part of the issue but hard to since the 2.4 theta 2 engine has had so many issues including oil burning
