Ford Maverick 2.0 EB Oil Recommendation - Towing

So didn't watch the video did ya? That video was about the 1.5 not 2.0 and about 5k service intervals. Nothing about the brand of oil used. Could have been mobil 1 in there for all we know. How was the motor driven? No idea. Highway? City? Race days? Just 5k mile intervals was all he said. The...

Ford Maverick 2.0 EB Oil Recommendation - Towing

I have a 22 Maverick and a concession trailer. The truck and trailer saw daily use for 2 yrs on hilly terrain. (Taking time off now.) Trailer gross weight 3900lbs. I never loaded the trailer more than 3500. Motorcraft 5w30 full synthetic is more than adequate for your needs. The fuel is more...

    Continental Batteries

They look like a battery distribution company and not a manufacturer. Optima is one of the many brands they have a "partnership" with. Optima brand I know Continental not so much.

Does anyone replace the oil drain plug if specified?

My 22 Maverick has a metal drain plug, aluminum I believe, with an integrated O ring. They call for a new plug every oil change. They want 6 to 12 bucks depending on where you buy it. when the truck first came out they were over 9 dollars. I inspect the seal every oil change and just put it back...

Valvoline oil change claimed no proration on battery replacement

I don't know if they do or not I'm sure someone here will know though. A quick phone call to any Subaru dealer's service department will give you that answer too.

Valvoline oil change claimed no proration on battery replacement

I stay as far away from any quick lube place. I suspect he's telling them what they want to hear just to sell them a battery. You go out of business very quickly giving away free things for life. If it's a newer vehicle and there is a battery reset procedure that needs to be followed I wouldn't...

    Used Ford Mobile Service today.

I get emails from my dealer trying to sell me this service. Haven't used them yet may give it a try a some point. When I don't have the time to do it myself or drive the 45 minutes to the dealership. I feel ya! I destroyed my back in a 20 foot fall, bad backs are no joke. I bought an extractor...

Push button start features - Not a good experience.

Funny I read that different. I didn't see it as a failure of tech I saw it as a failure to problem solve. Button falls into dash panic ensues calls around for help and possibly a tow. Kid was lucky he had a friend who could problem solve and get him going again.

Cape Cod Chips will no longer be made in Cape Cod

Nantucket's not Cape Cod. :) Real Cape Codders are left without chips. At least the islanders still have theirs, for now.

Cape Cod Chips will no longer be made in Cape Cod

There is such little employment here on the cape other than low wage hospitality or service work. Losing the factory jobs that most likely won't be replaced hurts.
