With a new vehicle, properly maintained, in your opinion would there be more wear to the engine using a 5w20 over a 0w20? It would seem the 0w would flow much better at cold startup...Make sense?

I hear yah...Like big deal!! We take a new Z06 to Lingenfelter, spend 50-60000 more on modes and do the same thing, and, it would be reliable....ENzo/Veyron, for a limited few rich with more $$ than brains...

My daughters car, 100000 miles , has been well maintained...Would there be an advantage in changing to synthetic, or just stay with the dino...She asked me, so thought i would ask the experts!!

I drive about 25 miles on the highway to work..Hey i let it idle, because my bones are in the 50-s now, and i dont like a frozen car...I have assumed that synthetic would give the extra protection for idleing in the morning, and the extra cold weather, -28F yesterday morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you imagine what the Big 3 would do if this where true,they would all be using it... give me a break!

Curious about change interval...Car is 2004 intrepid, 2.7...I use Mobil 1/or whatever synthetic oil is on sale for this car...I have an auto start, so the car spends some time idleing each morning for 10-12 minutes...My thought is 5000 miles would be about the safe change interval...Opinions...

Well, the Z06 came with Mobil 1 from the factory, the new Mustang came with a semi synthetic, which i change to Mobil 1 after 2000 miles...Personally, i would drive a new car for the 3000 miles, then change to synthetic....But, only if you are keeping the car forever...To use synthetic oil for a...

From the research i did a year ago, the Amsoil product is a step above Mobil 1 in most areas....The 0w 20 is interesting might use it in my new Mustang....

Oh oh.......I know its not as good as Amsoil/Red Line and a couple others, but i still believe it to be superior to all the Dino oils.....
