Peugeot 207 low oil pressure P15A1 and bottom end pics

Here I present some pics of the bottom end of my Peugeot 207 1.6 petrol, but first a little tale of how I came to take these pictures. The car is ten years old, and it has 106,000 miles. One day I went to the hardware store, as I was leaving, the low oil pressure warning comes on, I stopped the...

    Purflux LS-218 Cutopen with rust

Photos of the filter of my Renault Clio, only 3000 km on it since I don't use it very often. As always very good construction, the only detail is that the canister had some surface rust on the inside. I don't know if that is because of improper storage before I bought it, or because of a...

    Fram XG3614 Cut Open

Photos from a Fram XG3614. It was in use in a 2012 Ford Focus 2.0 for about 25,000 km. Oil in use was Valvoline Full Synthetic 5W-20. I ignore if and with what oil the engine was topped off. Almost 4 liters came out. Replaced with another Fram, that was silver in color, and Castrol Edge 5W-20...

Purflux LS-218 and new oil filter cutter.

I had these photos in my phone for some months now, and was trying to post them but never had the time to do it. Not much to add to the overall discussion here, the filter was in use in my Renault Clio for about 10,000 km. and maybe year and a half. I use that vehicle only occasionally now. but...

I would use Permatex Indian Head over loctite, Since I had leakage with loctite a few times

    Cleaning oil mixed with coolant???

The engine is out of the car, and I started to remove many components, to my surprise turns out that a core plug decided to be free from all restraints and flew like an eagle. Its freedom was short lived until it came to rest on the timing chain and all the coolant went straight into the...

    Cleaning oil mixed with coolant???

My Peugeot 207 decided to implode, it was working fine and then something went really wrong and all the coolant went into the crankcase. Tow it home, drained the crankcase and added new oil to be able to move it into the garage to remove the engine. Surprisingly the engine still has compression...

    Chasing terrible vibration

How does it feel. If it vibrates up/down like you are going trough a washing board then it is a CV joint. If it vibrates side to side like when you have a warped disc then it could be any of the tie rods or the control arm bushings. A wobbly head on the dash could be of help.

Propane regulator w/o excess flow protection?

The problem indeed is the BBQ regulator. You need a regulator that can handle the flow that your appliance is demanding. They measure this in BTU/hr. How big is your generator?? If I recall correctly you need a regulator that is at least 5 times the peak power of your generator. For example if...

Walnut Blasting Intake Valves Renault Clio

Here is a video of the before and after of the intake valves of my Renault Clio. The car had an intermittent vacuum leak that raise the idle speed to 4500 rpm, but I wasn't able to find this massive vacuum leak, so I replaced every gasket on the intake manifold and walnut blasted the intake...
