I'm retired. Due to lifetime NDA I'm unable to provide my former employer. I do have a military background as a Navy Sea Bee when I was a young man.
Brokerage accounts are with Wells Fargo Advisers and Stifel. My family has been with Stifel for over 50 years. Stifel is a money making machine...
Once I retired I could not get away fast enough from Schwab. In the last ten years from 2010 - 2021 either lost money or made nothing. the "discount broker" model did not work at all.
I now work for a commission based broker which is arguably the best way to go for my situation. I have made...
It would not work for me. The time it takes to charge and the cost to “Fill up” is a no go. During the hot summer months in the desert the charge stations run on huge loud diesel generators or natural gas as it is.
I live in an area of very hot temperatures and my daily driver does a lot of short trips. Not to mention old habits die hard. I also take into consideration not only do I run vehicles into the ground but also want the next owner to get a well taken care of unit to drive.
And to Walterjay, I'm willing to bet that a lot of us have overpaid on a vehicle. As long as she is happy with the vehicle that's what counts. good news is the Toyotas are and excellent vehicle that hold their resale well.
Back in fall 2004 I made the overpay dufus move of my life. I was racing...
I should not have to block a comment or member. When members conduct themselves as adults and with decorum it's a non issue. Of course on very rare occasions I have found myself caught up in it (arguing) and have to just click away when it gets out of control. My bad for letting the trolls get...
Oh boy and the negative comments continue. There is a trend here in social media where members of various forums just love to argue, insult and complain instead of being respectful to one another.
I was in another thread recently where a member actually sent some nonsense link in order to...
The thing is we don't know the whole dynamic to the situation.
An example was during covid 2022 I had to get a new vehicle to transport my wife when she got sick. I ended up shopping around for an over a week before I settled on a Honda Passport Trailsport and paid MSRP. Did not bother me a...
I personally have not experienced this. My complimentary first service included oil/filter, rotate tires and lube chassis on my Sierra 2500 L5T. When I was on level ground and the truck sat for about 30 minutes it was dead on the full mark. Same with the quick lube joint when I was injured some...
Good info right here I would have never guessed. I pretty much stick to OEM for my Duramax L5P. Ironically it's the same PF63 I used way back on my Chevy 350 truck back in the 90's.
According to a few members here I'm doing nothing more than what is known as a "money flush" by changing my oil...
