    Bridgestone Ecopia HL 422 Plus-noisy!

I bought a new set some years ago and had no issues with them. Of course, they weren’t oem. I remember they were quiet and no vibrations but once they hit 6-7 32nds they wore fast. I’ve got turanzas on my 21 Altima and have been a great tire. I wasn’t looking for Bridgestone as much as I was...

    Michelin CrossClimate2 wear concerns

Yep. If I can just get these to wear out to the point that I’d feel ok with ditching them, I’d get some new pro contacts. I’ve got lx 25s on a new set of factory rims but can’t deal with how downright ugly they are. At least the cc2s have somewhat of a sporty look on my suv. The lx25s look like...

    Michelin CrossClimate2 wear concerns

Mine are wearing like a chunk of steel. They also ride like wagon wheels and sound like I have 4 bad wheel bearings. Maybe a little hyperbolic, but not by much. Add in a 10% loss in fuel economy and these will go down as the worst tire purchase I ever made. My alignment is dead on perfect, tire...

    How to drive CVT

I’m in that camp and change my fluid once a year. So far so good. But, my niece through marriage proved this theory wrong. She went to Penn state, so lots of hot highway cruises the the hills from northern Ohio in a 2017 Altima. @150k I serviced her cvt (never touched). What came out resembled a...

    Clickety-Clack CV Axles

Most people aren’t willing to pay $700 for an Oem, myself included, unless it was one of my cars that is just out of warranty. What do you recommend as far as aftermarket, when Oem isn’t affordable for a lot of folks?

    Clickety-Clack CV Axles

I used new axles from Napa in a pinch around 40k ago on my 09 Altima that I gave to my daughter for work. This was after a Cardone started vibrating. What kind of boots they have….no clue. All I know is she drives 110 miles round trip a day, with a decent bit being in inner city Toledo. If...

Direct Injection, Oil, and trip distance

Get you some rec fuel if it’s around. My local Meijer started selling it and I forgot how nice gas used to be. I filled up my 18 rogue, which won’t be driven much now that my son has shipped off to the Navy. I’d normally get a little pinging in hot weather and ping no more.

I just ordered my Pirelli Scorpion AS PLUS 3

Nissan rogue, 2018. They’re fine in a lot of ways. Just not the $1k way. I know what perfect tires are and these are not it. Gimmicky for sure, but far from prefect. I had primacy’s before and I’d take them any day over these.

    HPL Differential Life

I’m interred in this stuff but just can’t justify having to order 6 qts. My only vehicle I’d use it on holds less than a qt in the transfer and rear diff. I used Schaeffers for the 1st time last week and can’t believe you can do much better. I’ve used motul and sever gear 80-90 and Schaffers is...

I just ordered my Pirelli Scorpion AS PLUS 3

You got that right! Between my local tire shop and many on here claiming the CC2s was the greatest thing since the forward pass I took the plunge. Last week I took the manager for a ride at the tire shop and he said that’s the complaints he hears about them. He still thinks the noise is worth...

Help me choose the better oil

The 2nd gen rogue (15-20) is multi port and not GDI. There was an analysis on a Nissan forum rogue, who ran amsoil SS a full 25k and everything looked outstanding, next to no fuel dilution. The 3rd gen rogue which used a 2.5 in 21 and then moved to the rattle box 1.5 turbo is DI. My 21 and 24...

    Continental Tire rebate 7/1 - 8/31/2025

I wish they’d add the pro contacts at some point. I have lx25s and although I like the tires, I hate their looks. No profile at all and almost cartoon like where it says “continental”. The wording is gigantic and just looks cheesy.

post your latest differential fluid change

2018 rogue. I change transfer and diff fluid every year since the only hold 29 ounces together. Out, was motul mineral 80w 90. Man was it horrendous with very little mileage. I probably won’t use it ever again. In went Schaeffers 75w90 and wow! Dead silent transfer, unlike I’ve felt since...

Help me choose the better oil

The 2.5, especially before 19 were easy on oil. @ almost 110k I’ll stretch HPS out to 6-7k from late spring through fall and it won’t use a drop. Even the 19-25 version of the 2.5 don’t seem to be hard on oil. I’ve got a tank of ethanol free 90 I’m working through now and she’s purring like a...

Help me choose the better oil

Nope. Depends on the engine. If I had a known diluter I’d be changing early and often.
