2011 Highlander mystery vibration/shaking. At the end of my rope!

I had my caliper slide pins reversed, which many say won’t make a difference. It certainly did on my car. Sometimes it just doesn’t leap out the way it should. Definitely get a road force from a reputable shop and demand to see the values. A lot of shops won’t tell them or list them on your...

2011 Highlander mystery vibration/shaking. At the end of my rope!

I know this car is. If the tires aren’t balanced to darn near perfection there’s a very faint vibration, most noticed on new roads. I just drove this thing to northern Michigan yesterday with the wife and smooth as silk. Minus parts of Michigans roads being like a plowed field. I was ready to...

2011 Highlander mystery vibration/shaking. At the end of my rope!

Similar experience on my 18 rogue. Oem Hankooks never vibrated, replacement Michelin primacies, cross climate 2s and pro contacts all did. Although the pro contacts were the smoothest, but they were also road forced, but probably not well. I bought Pirelli scorpions last week and insisted their...

What brakes do you guys use?

Ebc and Ebc. I feel like I’ve tried them all and went full circle. Get past the initial dusting and you’re all set.

    Bent rim?

I just had new Pirelli scorpions installed on the newer rims. Road force numbers were all single digits except the RR which started @30 and the tech couldn’t get it any lower than 19. The good news is, that the stretch of road that always vibrated no longer does. So I guess 19 is the threshold...

Roadforce Numbers OK But Possible Bad Lateral Runout?

This is as technical of a road force thread as I’ve ever read. I just did a set of Pirelli scorpions on my 18 rogue, which is super sensitive to vibration and always has been. All my numbers were under 8 except the RR which started @30 and the tech got it down to 19 and claims it was as good as...

    Sold my 2021 Altima "accidentally"

Apparently there was a bearing supplier that was the culprit of the 23s and some 24s grenading, often in the 1st 10-20k of their life. Around 20% of the 1.5 liters were effected, with the issue being resolved by mid 24. I just spent 11 days in a rogue platinum in Vegas and was beyond impressed...

    Sold my 2021 Altima "accidentally"

I’ve driven plenty of Camrys and a couple of highlanders through hertz. The highlanders I always liked, the Camry has never been a car I’ve been sad to turn back in. IMO an Altima is much more refined and more pleasant to drive. I wouldn’t touch a tundra with a 10 ft pole right now, yet plenty...

HPL PCMO 5w30 - Subaru Outback 3.6r using oil

You’re thinking of my 18 rogue, which uses not a drop @125k. This is the wife’s 24 Altima with 27k or so. I did an early oil change @1k, then again @5k using hpl. The next few changes were torco and hpl every 5k. I used redline @25k and actually plan on running this the full OLM which would put...

post your latest transmission lubricant change.

It really does a good job of quieting down a belt driven cvt. I just swapped out 6 of the 12 Oem qts and took it for a highway cruise and the difference was definitely noticeable. It was hard to get for awhile but I scored 20 qts during prime day for around $5 per qt.

    Sold my 2021 Altima "accidentally"

Like any other make you only hear the bad. There’s plenty of high mileage Nissans that were absolutely abused and keep on chugging. I have 2 in my family.
