edyvw Congratulations! You made a Huge upgrade! Pirelli Scorpion tires are complete Garbage, and Michelin Defenders are in my opinion the best Highway Tires made.

Would you replace at 4/32nds ?

CKN That's a Great Question I have no idea how many miles you drive per year on your Wife's Highlander. Since they're OEM tires with 4/32nd's tread left, they have Zero resale value, and are probably sub standard. Since you posted the question, you've obviously thought about replacing the tires...

Triple_Se7en: Thanks for your reply Changing the Amsoil SS every 10k miles wouldn't fit my motor oil program I've been running a dual bypass system for 8+ yrs/275k+ miles, and 16 UOA's I change the full flow filter every 25k miles, and the bypass filter every 75k miles. I effectively replace 4...

Happy Easter Guys! Hopefully this post isn't too confusing I discussed with Ifixyawata several weeks ago that I had a unique OCI that I was running. I'm 8+ yrs running a (Amsoil) BMK 23-EA Dual Bypass Filter System. I bought the vehicle new in 2011, and ran Mobil 1 5w-20 for the 1st 100k miles...

Tires wearing evenly. Do I need to rotate?

walterjay Thanks for Posting! I have plenty of experience on this Subject. I have a 2011 Ford Expedition EL 4x4 King Ranch with 376k miles in my signature. I drive lots of highway miles, and rotate my tires @7500 miles. I recently bought my 6th set of Michelin Defenders. They come with 12/32"...

Frugal choice for 5k OCIs on 5.4 3v

Ifixyawata I have lots of experience with these 5.4L 3v motors. If you're looking for a low cost option for 5k oci's, then go with the cheapest price. SuperTech, Kirkland, Amazon, etc. Bulk 55 Gallon drum, etc Oil Filters by the case. (But that's just Math) I currently drive a 2011 Ford...

2002 Expedition Oil Change Suggestions - Mostly Towing

C4Dave That Motor is pretty easy on Oil I had a '99 5.4L 2v Expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4 before my present 2011 Expedition in my Signature. I kept it for 12 yrs and put 325k miles before I sold it to a family member. I ran M1 Ow-40 with a Motor Craft FL 820S Oil Filter I ran an OCI of 5k-10k miles

74DartSport Let's Discuss You've posted 6 UOA's In all 6 of these Posts, the Oil has either Sheared out of Grade, or the Sub 2.0 TBN Oil is spent. Lower your OCI to 10k miles Easy Decision! Thanks for your Post
