I know the reason why I switched was partly due to the increase...
I used to use Toyota branded 0w20 in our camry, but have since switched over to Redline 0w20. No particular reason, other than I threw it in while ordering Redline for my Audi.

I recently stopped using LC / FP after using it on 2 different cars for about 4 years. In the end, spending more for a higher quality synthetic + occasional injection cleaner was much easier than adding in LC and FP. I can't really say if LC did much for me . . . the UOAs I had with/without LC...

I should have been more specific. There is still a PCV on the system, but the one which is believed to create the significant intake valve deposits is blocked off and re-routed to a different area.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I am also running water/meth injection, deposits were cleaned at 39k and I have a PCV blockoff reducing the amount of contaminants getting into the system.

Ever since I purchased my car in 2005, I have always used FP60. The vehicle in question is a 52k mile 2006 Audi A3 with the 2.0t FSI engine. FP60 was used religiously, only skipping every other tank when it wasn't handy, but overall the vehicle stuck with the cleaning regimen as specified by LC...

saaber, can you send me a pm with your email? I'll send over a more recent blackstone UOA from magilson with more miles and etc. Just need to edit out his personal info and whatnot.

I have a fuel diluting Audi 2.0t FSI.
Have been running mostly GC 0w30, but this past oil change I put in M1 0w40 due to availability. Previous OCIs on the GC were in the 4k mi range. 2k miles into this oil change with 0w40 M1, I pulled the dipstick to check consumption and noticed that the...

This is a recent UOA taken from my 2.0t FSI (fuel diluting monster). The engine is modified with SII programming, intake with AEM dryflow filter and aftermarket turbo-back exhaust. This UOA comprised of mostly stop and go city driving, cold starts (late winter), as well as an auto-x event over...
