    Xtreme Friction Fighter

I find it really interesting that they state you can use it in an AC system

    Xtreme Friction Fighter

I’ve always thought of this stuff as snake oil but thought you guys would get a kick out of it. It’s marketed primarily to truck drivers much in the same way that Lucas oil stabilizer is. The owners frequent some of the shows I go to and always have quite the sales pitch. It’s made in Monett MO...

What are you working on today?

Drove 616 miles to North Platte NE yesterday to see Bailey Yard and Golden Spike Tower. Slowly working my way back east on 80 today. Hoping to have time to stop at the Strategic Air Command Museum today.

What are you working on today?

If that engine got hot it will crack the cylinder wall(s). I have one sitting at the farm right now that needs an engine. Thought it was the head gasket so I replaced it and had the head checked professionally and found nothing wrong. Reassembled it and it’s still pushing coolant. I’d plan on...

What are you working on today?

Yesterday was a coolant flush, oil change, air filter replacement and a hand wash for this rig. I started by draining the coolant which was still ford orange and a small amount of black residue in the overflow bottle and then ran a garden hose in the overflow with the lower drain open until it...

    Schaeffer's 219 or 274?

I am using 219 in every application you list and many more. As far as a "universal" grease I believe it's about as good as it gets. Just greased all of our hay equipment a couple hours ago with it. I have many many electric motors using it as well.

Kubota D1005 in Marathon MLT3060 Light Tower - Best Oil and Filter?

Those small Kubotas aren"t picky, just get whatever you can find locally for a good price and keep up with regular service. I would rather spend some extra $ on the cooling system. I cracked a cylinder wall in my RTV by getting it too hot.

What are you working on today?

Graveside service with military honors for my grandfather yesterday morning and then mowed hay most of the afternoon. Got about 25 acres laid down that will get rained on tonight but I have enough dry days starting tomorrow to get it dry enough to bale. Also had to set up a landing zone for a...

What fluid for my Lowboy trailer

ISO32 or 46 will work fine. I maintain several trucks with wet kits used for walking floors(much higher flow than your trailer requires) and run 46 is all of them. Also, I absolutely do NOT recommend going with a high end super expensive fluid. You will rip the hoses off or blow one long before...

What are you working on today?

Full hub pilot conversion on my Mack DM690S dump truck is finally completed. Hubs came from Automann, new bearings, seals, S cams, cam bushings, slack adjusters, shoes, drums and 8 new wheels. This brake system is now in better shape than it’s been in years. I had 3 hubs with cracked ears and...

What are you working on today?

Currently on lunch break at work. Been working on replacing a 15hp electric motor on a seed drying fan. Last couple days I've been working on a hub pilot conversion on my dump truck. 4 new drive hubs with new bearings and seals, S cams and bushings, slack adjusters, 8 new aluminum wheels and...

What are you working on today?

Started on spring maintenance for hay equipment this evening. Pickup attachment was getting noisy on the baler last year and I suspected the cam followers were on their way out. Pulled the guards and drive chain off tonight and I was right. Fortunately they’re easily available aftermarket and...
