2015 Subaru Forester, which oil to use?

I like Pennzoil Platinum 0w20 in my wife's Forester. It has been almost always had Pennzoil Platinum 0w20 for almost 80k miles. I have the same vehicle as you do, but a 14 Forester 2.5. It has done very well with Pennzoil Platinum. Just make sure to check the levels in the morning after it has...

Recommend Oil For 2012 Nissan Frontier

Short trips in the cold without proper warm up potentially cause varnish and sludge. This is especially true with dino oils. That being said, I would recommend a good synthetic oil. I personally like Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30 or Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 in my Nissan Xterra. (Same VQ40 as you...

What makes Motorcraft and Kendall oils so great?

Nothing about those two oils make them stand out above any other name brand oil.

    Pennzoil Ultra Platinum.

My FB25 also doesn't burn too much oil during an OCI with Pennzoil Platinum 0w20. It burns about 0.5 quarts in 5k miles.

    PP 0w-20 7,400 mi. 2013 Subaru Forester FB25

Nice report. I am using only PP 0w20. Mine does NOT use any noticeable oil at all. I drive it pretty hard for the most part. I am not easy on my cars.....

    Blizzaks on closeout at Tirerack?

I have them sitting in the 90 degree garage now. Got a GREAT deal on them! Just waiting patiently for the snow to fall...... (Hopefully it will be a little more peaceful this winter than last)

    Wix Beta Ratio

IMHO, the best standard, non synthetic filter you can purchase. You don't see failures, like the big 2.

    Cryogenic Treated Rotors?

Are cryogenic treated rotors better than non treated rotors? I just purchased some Centric rotors for the Civic. The fronts are cryogenic treated and the rears are not. Is there really any difference?

    Dish Network Refer a Friend

I have been a long time Time Warner user. I recently got Dish Network and haven't turned back! It is so much better than Time Warner was. I was really up in the air between Dish and Directv. But, I am super happy with Dish. I have used the refer a friend and it works well. They have a pretty...

    2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i

Read about the HIGH output of the oil pump. If you don't know why they spec the oil filter with the high psi, you shouldn't be recommending something that is not specced for this engine. Look at what the PSI is in the filter at mid to high RPM's. It will be in bypass on a regular basis. I use...
