    I have a 06 siverado 4.8 v8 since new it runs about 207 degrees, I've notice all the new GM trucks do the same. What coolant can give me a lower temp. And can i switch to green antifreeze without voiding my warranty?

    Again guys thanks for the info.I just bought 6 qts of Penzoil Plat @ walmart 3.80 a qt.The 5 gal. jug was 18.97 And then i went to Sam's Club next door and they had a 6qt case of castrol Syntec black bottle for 25.96, the mobil 1 was 29.16 .
