As I have said, I had no chance to test the old filter. The new filter is completely un-crushed and has low delta-p across the filter at all times, so far. I intend to test the new filter as it ages.

Some people seem to be missing the point. 1/; the filters are NOT assembled like this.I have inspected a new filter closely enough to know that the pleats are not indented when new and the pleats are evenly spaced.(exactly like the first drawing). Both drawings were done from actual filters...
